About the Tourbillon Souverain
The Tourbillon Souverain is one of François-Paul Journe's signature creations, marking a significant milestone in modern horology. Originally launched in 1999 with a tourbillon and remontoir d'égalité mechanism for enhanced precision. Released in a highly exclusive batch of just 20 pieces, it quickly became a favorite among collectors. In 2003, the Tourbillon Souverain was further refined with the addition of deadbeat seconds, a rare feature improving timekeeping. Journe also introduced the use of 18k rose gold for the movements, a first in contemporary watchmaking, adding to the piece's allure.
