About the Horological Machines
MB&F's Horological Machines series broke away from traditional watch manufacturing and redefined the boundaries of what a wristwatch can become. Launched in 2007, these timepieces resemble miniature sculptures or futuristic devices more so than conventional watches. Each Horological Machine (HM) blends science fiction-inspired designs with complex mechanical engineering. The HM1 set the foundation with its 3D movement architecture, while later models like the HM3 Frog and HM4 Thunderbolt introduced even bolder designs mimicking things like amphibians and fighter jets. Highlights include the HM6, with its spacecraft-like form and rotating spheres, and the HM7, inspired by jellyfish with a central flying tourbillon. Crafted from high-end materials like titanium and sapphire, these watches embody futuristic luxury. Each Horological Machine is a limited-edition masterpiece powered by complex, often bespoke mechanical movements and unique complications like flying tourbillons or dynamic displays of time
