About the Legacy Machines
Legacy Machines (LM) series is a tribute to traditional watchmaking, combining classical aesthetics with avant-garde design. Unlike the futuristic, boundary-pushing Horological Machines, the Legacy Machines are rooted in the foundational craftsmanship of 19th-century horology, reimagined for the modern era. Introduced in 2011, these timepieces are characterized by their round cases, large domed sapphire crystals, and intricately detailed movements. The collection merges traditional horological principles with MB&F’s signature creativity, offering complex features like perpetual calendars, tourbillons, and off-center dials, with each constructed from premium materials such as gold, platinum, and titanium. One of the defining features of the Legacy Machine series is its prominent suspended balance wheel, a visually captivating centerpiece. With features like dual time zone displays, reengineered perpetual calendar systems that address common mechanical issues and central flying tourbillons, the Legacy Machines demonstrate both superior technical mastery and sophisticated design.
