The Cartier Tank, introduced in 1917, has maintained a century-long tradition of excellence in luxury watchmaking. Inspired by brawny yet boxy World War I military tanks, it possesses a rectangular case with flat vertical brancards, clean lines and a symmetrical design that gives a nod to Art Deco style. The dial features classic Roman numerals, a precise chemin-de-fer minute track, and elegant blue sword-shaped hands. The series offers a variety of movements, including manual wind, automatic and quartz. High-end models feature in-house mechanical movements and offer features like date displays, dual time zones and moon phases, meeting modern needs with the nostalgic style of a bygone era. Each Tank model, from the classic Tank Louis Cartier to the modern Tank Française and bold Tank Américaine, highlights Cartier's luxury craftsmanship with diamond-set bezels and a sapphire cabochon crown. Among these coveted timepieces, Actor Rami Malek, a longtime admirer of Cartier and a prominent figure in the brand's advertising campaigns, proudly wore a Tank Américaine to the 2019 Oscars ceremony, where he clinched the Best Actor award.
